WARRANTY SERVICE

 

(a) Register: We highly recommend that upon purchase, you register your appliance on the HomePlus official website (www.hihomeplus.com) and enjoy exclusive benefits. To register, please enter the 17 digits of the Amazon order number (found on the Amazon.com). Failure to register your product may diminish your warranty rights.

 

(b) How to Claim: Please retain your proof of purchase. To make a claim under our Limited Warranty, you need to provide your original purchase receipt with the purchase date and order number on it.All work will be carried out by HomePlus or an authorized agent.Any replaced defective parts will become the property of HomePlus.Service under this warranty will not extend the period of this warranty.

 

WHAT IS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY?

 

HomePlus warrants the HomePlus-branded Neck Fan、Light Bulb Security Camera hardware product and the HomePlus-branded accessories contained in the original packaging (“HomePlus Product”) against defects in materials and workmanship when used normally in accordance with HomePlus 's published guidelines for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of original retail purchase by the end-user purchaser ("Warranty Period"). HomePlus’s published guidelines include but are not limited to information contained in technical specifications, user manuals and service communications.

 

Please note: All claims made under the HomePlus One-Year Limited Warranty will be governed by the terms set out in this warranty document. 

 

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY?

 

This Warranty does not apply to any non-HomePlus branded hardware products or any software, even if packaged or sold with HomePlus hardware. Manufacturers, suppliers, or publishers, other than HomePlus, may provide their own warranties to you – please contact them for further information. Software distributed by HomePlus with or without the HomePlus brand (including, but not limited to system software) is not covered by this Warranty. Please refer to the licensing agreement accompanying the software for details of your rights with respect to its use. HomePlus does not warrant that the operation of the HomePlus Product will be uninterrupted or error-free. HomePlus is not responsible for damage arising from failure to follow instructions relating to the HomePlus Product’s use.

  

This Warranty does not apply: 

 

(a) Appliances purchased from an unauthorized dealer;

 

(b)to consumable parts, such as batteries or protective coatings that are designed to diminish over time, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship. Reduction in battery discharge time due to battery age or use; 

 

(c) to cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; 

 

(d) to damage caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the HomePlus Product, including normal wearing parts, such as motors or damage due to use not in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions or failure to turn the power off when necessary;

 

(e) to damage caused by use of parts and accessories other than those produced or recommended by HomePlus. Use of parts not in accordance with the HomePlus Instruction Manuals; 

 

(f)  External factors unrelated to product quality and use, such as weather, modifications, accidents, electrical outages, power surges or acts of God; 

 

(g) to damage caused by operating the HomePlus Product outside HomePlus’s published guidelines. Careless operation or handling, misuse, abuse and/or lack of maintenance or use not in accordance with the HomePlus Instruction Manuals;

 

(h) to damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not a representative of HomePlus. Repairs or alterations carried out by unauthorized parties or agents; 

 

(i) to an HomePlus Product that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without the written permission of HomePlus; 

 

(j) if any serial number has been removed or defaced from the HomePlus Product; or if HomePlus receives information from relevant public authorities that the product has been stolen or if you are unable to deactivate passcode-enabled or other security measures designed to prevent unauthorized access to the HomePlus Product, and you cannot prove in any way that you are the authorized user of the product (e.g., by presenting proof of purchase);

 

(k) Use of the appliance other than for normal domestic purposes, e.g. for commercial or rental purposes;

 

(l) Failing to clear blockage and other hazardous material from the appliance.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Before receiving warranty service, HomePlus or its agents may require that you furnish proof of purchase details, respond to questions designed to assist with diagnosing potential issues and follow HomePlus 's procedures for obtaining warranty service. 

   

WHAT WILL HOMEPLUS DO IN THE EVENT THE WARRANTY IS BREACHED?

 

If during the Warranty Period you submit a claim to HomePlus in accordance with this warranty, HomePlus will, at its option:

 

(i) repair the HomePlus Product using new or previously used HomePlus genuine parts that have been tested and passed HomePlus functional requirements,

(ii) replace the HomePlus Product with a replacement product of the same model (or with your consent a product that has the same or substantially similar features as the original product – e.g., a different model with the same features, or the same model in a different color) that is new or comprised of new and/or previously used HomePlus genuine parts and has been tested and passed HomePlus functional requirements, or

(iii) exchange the HomePlus Product for a refund of your purchase price.When an HomePlus Product or part is replaced or a refund provided, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced or refunded item becomes HomePlus 's property.

 

HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE?

 

Please contact HomePlus customer support team(Email: support@hihomeplus.com). A HomePlus representative will help determine whether your HomePlus Product requires service and, if it does, will inform you how HomePlus will provide it. Online information with details on obtaining warranty service is provided below.

 

WARRANTY SERVICE OPTIONS

 

HomePlus will provide warranty service through one or more of the following options:

 

(i) Mail-in service. If HomePlus determines that your HomePlus Product is eligible for mail-in service, HomePlus will send you prepaid waybills and if applicable, packaging material and instructions on how to properly pack and address your HomePlus product, so that you may ship your HomePlus Product to an specified location. Once service is complete, the specified location will return the HomePlus Product to you. HomePlus will pay for shipping to and from your location if all instructions regarding the method of packaging and shipping the HomePlus Productare followed.

 

(ii) Do-it-yourself (DIY) parts service. DIY parts service allows you to service your own HomePlus Product. If DIY parts service is available in the circumstances, the following process will apply.

 

(iii) Service where HomePlus requires return of the replaced HomePlus Product or part. HomePlus will ship a replacement HomePlus Product or part to you with installation instructions, if applicable, and any requirements for the return of the replaced HomePlus Product or part. 

 

(a) Service where HomePlus does not require return of the replaced HomePlus Product or part. HomePlus will ship you free of charge a replacement HomePlus Product or part accompanied by instructions on installation, if applicable, and any requirements for the disposal of the replaced HomePlus Product or part.

 

(b) HomePlus is not responsible for any labor costs you incur relating to DIY parts service.HomePlus reserves the right to change the method by which HomePlus may provide warranty service to you, and your HomePlus Product’s eligibility to receive a particular method of service. Service will be limited to the options available in the country where service is requested. Service options, parts availability and response times may vary according to country.

 

HomePlus may use HomePlus Products or replacement parts for service that are sourced from a country that is different from the country from which the HomePlus Product or original parts were sourced. You may be responsible for shipping and handling charges if the HomePlus Product cannot be serviced in the country it is in. If you seek service in a country that is not the original country of purchase, you will comply with all applicable import and export laws and regulations and be responsible for all custom duties, V.A.T. and other associated taxes and charges. Where international service is available, HomePlus may repair or replace HomePlus Products and parts with comparable HomePlus Products and parts that comply with local standards.
